"Billy" Eduard Albert Meier is a Swiss citizen who claims to have communicated with extraterrestrial life forms (aliens). He has also produced—or amassed—a vast collection of over 1,000 controversial photographs of UFOs, most of which were taken between 1975 and 1981. The collection also includes earlier photographs, taken between 1959 and 1964.

These photographs form part of the evidence pointing to his encounters with extraterrestrial life. Meier has also presented other forms of evidence, including film footage of UFOs, audio recordings of sounds emitted by the flying craft, and samples of metal alloys—which, to the surprise of scientific researchers, are highly complex and difficult to explain given our current technological capabilities.

Since 1975, more than 120 witnesses have come forward regarding many of these phenomena. At least 15 of these individuals underwent lie detector tests; the polygraph results indicated that they were being truthful and that their accounts of these experiences were genuine. Over time, many of the things Albert Meier reported learning from the extraterrestrials—including prophecies and forecasts regarding the future of the world—have proven to be accurate.
To this day, Albert Meier (now 75 years old) remains in contact with extraterrestrials whom he calls "Plejaren" (Pleiadians). They reside beyond the Pleiades (M45)—a bright open star cluster in the constellation Taurus—and, according to Meier, they are human-like and share a common origin with certain races on Earth. Meier states that these people, the Plejaren, originate from a region located beyond the Pleiades star cluster.
