The extraterrestrials appeared as tall, fair-haired beings, resembling people of a Scandinavian type. They invited Oliveira aboard their spacecraft, where they implanted objects under his skin—objects that are clearly visible on an X-ray. The humanoids explained to the teenager that these implants would facilitate communication in the future.
A subsequent encounter with the extraterrestrials took place in October 1998 near the town of Campo Grande, located about 70 km west of Rio de Janeiro. Oliveira was visiting relatives there who owned a small farm. On this occasion, at least 70 people witnessed the man being drawn into a UFO by a beam of light; this was because, at the request of the extraterrestrials, Oliveira had informed ufologists in advance about the time and location of the encounter. The entire event was filmed by camera operators from a local television station who had been invited to attend. Later, however, the television crew claimed—for reasons unknown—that they had neither witnessed any contact between a human and extraterrestrials, nor had they filmed it.
Reflections on an Unseen Contact
Before a scheduled contact, Oliveira received a message from the extraterrestrials: "We intend to appear again at the same location and take you aboard our craft, where you will spend some time. When we take you, small, round stones will fall from the sky to the ground—like a rain of stones. We want other people to witness this."
Oliveira sent a message to the members of his association: "Everyone who is able and willing, please come to the base in Campo Grande." Those who could make it arrived. Among those who came to the base was Felipe Branco. Several ufologists also arrived. The extraterrestrials did not specify an exact time for the contact, so the observers arrived in advance. They ended up waiting for nearly a week. The event took place on September 15, 2002, at approximately 7:00 PM.
"I had just returned to the base at that moment," Felipe Branco continued, "and I was already on-site when, suddenly, small stones began to fall from above. I stopped near a residential building where Oliveira was staying in one of the rooms. As I stepped out of my car, the stones were still raining down from the sky, clattering against the roof of the house. People began to gather around the building." Some shouted, “Look, look, there they are! It’s begun!” while others silently began gathering small stones. I picked up a few myself.
Knowing that the falling stones signaled a contact event, the people hurried to Oliveira’s room. However, the door was locked from the inside. The “witnesses” broke it open and went in. The room was empty, filled with the sharp scent of ozone and an acidic substance. On the bedsheet, there was a distinct impression—as if a human body had been burned into it—which was mirrored by a corresponding mark on the ceiling.
Yet, upon closer inspection, it became clear that the “image” on the sheet was not actually burned in. The fabric remained intact; to the touch, it felt dry and cool, though it seemed denser and harder.
Most of Oliveira’s shaken associates concluded that his body—acted upon by some form of energy and remaining in a horizontal position—had risen upward, passed through the ceiling and the roof, and emerged outside, where he was intercepted by extraterrestrials and taken aboard their craft.
Disappointed, the witnesses to the contact spent about an hour examining the traces left behind, taking photographs and filming them. Afterward, they left the room and locked it from the outside, securing the door with an additional lock. No one left the base; everyone hoped for Oliveira’s safe return and began to wait for him patiently.
The Abductee’s Account
More than two days passed. On September 17, around 9:00 PM, a cry was heard in the building’s hallway, coming from Oliveira’s room: “For God’s sake, someone let me out!” Everyone rushed toward his room, removed the lock, threw open the door, and saw their associate once again—alive and well. He did, however, appear quite exhausted.
Oliveira described his encounter with the aliens as follows: He was lying in bed, reading a book. Suddenly, the room was flooded with a bright violet light; he felt a severe chill, yet at the same time, he was overcome by intense heat. Then, as if observing from the outside, he watched his body lift from the bed, pass straight through the ceiling and the roof, and find itself inside an alien craft.
In a large, light-filled room, a tall, red-headed extraterrestrial led Oliveira to a transparent cylindrical chamber, gestured for him to enter through an opening hatch, and told him to lie down on a bed positioned in the center. As the hatch closed, the chamber filled with thick, white smoke. It vanished almost instantly, and Oliveira realized he was now wearing a form-fitting, glossy white jumpsuit. It seemed to have actually materialized out of the smoke.
Upon exiting the chamber, Oliveira was taken to another room, where he was met by a large group of extraterrestrials. The group consisted of humanoids with widely varying appearances: there were light-skinned giants—some with white hair, others with red—standing nearly three meters tall; dark-skinned humanoids of similar height with dark, curly hair; and short, large-headed beings covered in thick, brownish fur.
Oliveira was brought before a large screen, where he listened to what amounted to a lecture, accompanied by visual sequences. The discussion concerned the near future of our planet. The extraterrestrials revealed that a "visitor" from deep space—a large meteorite or comet—would soon enter the Solar System. This celestial body will have a major impact on Earth’s magnetic field. It is possible that this influence will cause the magnetic poles to shift. There is a chance that Earth could be struck by blocks of ice, which might cause damage to certain large cities. Oliveira saw these cities—and the aftermath of the bombardment by ice blocks—on a screen. The humanoids did not specify which cities they were, and Oliveira was unable to identify them.
The extraterrestrials also informed Oliveira that they carefully select and assess the physical and mental state of a prospective Earth-based "companion" before revealing themselves and proposing a collaboration. They have now established such collaborations with many individuals living in various countries. The Brazilian Urandir Fernando de Oliveira is one of these people.
